Active Learning refers to an instructional approach that emphasizes student engagement and interaction in the learning process. It aims to stimulate higher-order thinking skills—such as analysis, synthesis, and evaluation—rather than relying solely on passive listening. Learners are encouraged to read, write, question, and participate in discussions, as well as engage in hands-on activities. This approach considers students’ prior knowledge and individual needs, shifting their role from passive recipients of information to active participants in the construction of knowledge.
